Used hospital equipment from Aarhus to Ghana
To the press,
4 containers of used hospital equipment from Aarhus will Sunday 7 April at 10 be sent to hospitals in Ghana in West Africa.
The press is welcome to attend the send-off, which takes place from Peter Sabros Gade behind the former Central Kitchen in Building 15 in the former hospital buildings in Nørrebrogade.
The hospital equipment is sent to Ghana through Global Medical Aid, and at the time of the shipment, the Ghanaian ambassador to Denmark H.E. Mrs. Amerley Ollennu Awua-Asamoa and hospital director Poul Blaabjerg will be present.
We are talking about equipment which has been used at Aarhus University Hospital in Nørrebrogade, but which, due to physical conditions, new systems or equipment which, according to Danish conditions, has reached its end of life and which could not be moved to the new hospital buildings.
The equipment, which is donated in collaboration with Global Medical Aid to hospitals in Ghana, has been offered to other hospitals in the region, tried to be sold at auctions etc., offered to various organizations and institutions and tried to be sold at internal flea markets
Further information is available from Section Leader Bill Dyrborg Thomsen, Technical Department, tel. 2040 2556, who will also be present at the dispatch of the equipment on Sunday morning.
