About us

Global Medical Aid is a humanitarian organization that collects usable medicine and functional hospital equipment for the benefit of third world countries.

GMA supports the UN Global Goals
By bringing surplus medicine and used hospital equipment to benefit in third world countries, GMA supports several of the UN Global Goals. This primarily applies to Goal 3, "Health and well-being", which is about ensuring a healthy life for all and promoting well-being for all age groups. In addition, we contribute to the realization of Goal 12 regarding “Responsible consumption and production”, which is about doing more and better with less, including increasing resource efficiency and promoting sustainable lifestyles. At the same time, a more responsible use of resources has a positive effect on the fight against poverty.

GMA Medicin

Background

Every day, more than 5 tonnes of medicine are destroyed in Denmark, most of which are still fully usable. At the same time, the Danish hospitals discard functional hospital equipment for several million DKK every year, because new technology is developed and "obsolete devices" are constantly replaced with newer equipment.

GMA Koncept

Concept

The concept behind GMA is simple. We collect usable medicine and functional hospital equipment for the benefit of third world countries. At present, we have donated to Afghanistan, Albania, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Kenya, North Macedonia, Nepal, Senegal, Somalia, Somaliland, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministries of Health and/or international organizations concerned. In the long run, we expect to donate to more countries.
