Medicinal donations
- The medicine must be listed on the national “list of essential drugs”; the receiver must have a permission to import medicine; customs and other taxes must be paid by the receiver (normally no customs are paid on donations)
- Medicine will only be donated, provided the receiver declares, that the medicine, from a professional judgement, will be used within expiry date
- The medicine must be handled by skilled persons, a log of the medicine must be kept, if the medicine is not used within expiry date, it must be destroyed in a proper way, destruction certificate must be issued
Hospital equipment
- Equipment is supplied in a functional condition. The recipient must be capable of operating and repairing the equipment, and spare parts must be available.
